Happy anniversary to Scott Air Force Base in St. Clair County, Illinois. As part of the celebration of their anniversary, the U.S. Air Force’s Thunderbirds will perform at the event. The last time they performed at SAFB was in 2012.
The Scott Air Force Base Air Show will take place June 10-11th with free entry.

Carlyle Sailing Association Offers Family Sailing Fun to All
Carlyle Sailing Association is a not-for-profit organization providing sailing and fun for all ages. Everyone is welcome at their harbor facility at the south end of Eldon Hazlet State Park and all you need is a desire to get on the water and try sailing. A multitude of programs
are offered. For those seeking an easy, relaxed experience, there are Saturday cruises. For those that have a competitive streak you can enjoy racing programs of various skill levels each weekend. Of course, all are accompanied by an after-sail get together to enjoy everyone’s company and talk about the day. In addition, here are programs just for kids from 8 to 16 with US Sailing certified adult supervision. Activities occur every weekend between the end of April and the beginning of November.
About Jonny’s Pizza and Pasta
Jonny’s Pizza and Pasta is located in Fairview Heights, Illinois only 15 minutes from St. Louis and Scott Air Force Base. The owner, Jon Weaving, opened Jonny’s in 2008 after a long-term relationship with the love of pizza. Jon says his favorite thing on the menu is his Chicago-style pizza and that it is a staple in their house. Pizza is not the only thing you will find on their menu. They also have a great selection of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pasta, and deserts. Jonny’s is open Tuesday through Sunday (check full hours below) and always has a great special going on.
